Belmonts Curse Bosses List: All 6 Confirmed So Far

Six bosses are confirmed for Castlevania: Belmont's Curse: The Fallen, Joan of Arc, Medusa, Isaac, Carmilla and Death. Only The Fallen appears in the free demo that launched October 1, 2026; the other five are full-game fights arriving with the October 15, 2026 launch. Every defeated boss is sealed into Rose Belmont's tarot deck as an Arcana card, but only The Fallen's rewards, the Holy Cross Arcana, the Arcana Whip and one of three keys, are verified by actual play.

  • Playable today: The Fallen, the demo's final boss at the gate into the Parisian Catacombs.
  • Full game only: Joan of Arc, Medusa, Isaac, Carmilla and Death, in an order Konami has not published.
  • Six is the floor, not the ceiling: the official character page ends its boss section with an unfilled "And more…".

The Confirmed Roster at a Glance

Every row below comes from Konami's official character page. Nothing about move sets, fight order or health bars has been published for any boss except what players observed from The Fallen in the demo.

The Fallen: the Only Boss You Can Fight Today

The Fallen waits at the big gate into the Parisian Catacombs and closes out the demo's sewer stretch. It leads with the Holy Cross, leaping across the arena and driving the cross into the floor, throwing a boomerang cross at range, and covering most of the room with a long whip swing. The reliable answer is positional: hold mid-range, keep moving, dash under the thrown cross, wait out the swing, and punish the recovery. Landing a hit mid-swing staggers it out of the attack, which video guides treat as the core technique of the fight.

The rewards are the reason this fight matters beyond bragging rights. The Fallen drops the Arcana Whip traversal tool, the Holy Cross Arcana card, and one of three keys for a sealed door that takes three. The whip gates nearly everything optional in the demo, including the hidden Cestus gauntlets in the Sewer Reservoir. Full move timings and survival notes are on How to Beat The Fallen in Belmont's Curse Demo, and the route to the gate is in the full demo walkthrough.

Finish The Fallen before studying the rest of this list

Everything below this section is pre-launch information from official pages, not observed play. Boss order, arenas and rewards for the five full-game bosses are unconfirmed, and demo builds can be patched. Treat The Fallen as verified fact and the rest as a confirmed roster with unconfirmed details.

Joan of Arc: the History-Drawn Newcomer

Joan of Arc is the strangest name on the roster. Every other confirmed boss is a monster, a vampire or Death himself; she is a French heroine drawn from real history, described only as the recipient of a divine revelation from the Hundred Years' War. Her character-page entry trails off mid-sentence, which reads as deliberate secrecy rather than an editing slip. She is voiced by Erica Lindbeck.

No behavior, arena or Arcana effect has been published for her. Her portrait on the character page uses the same tarot-card frame as the other five bosses, so she will almost certainly become an Arcana card when defeated, but what spell that card carries is unconfirmed. The voice cast and family connections around her are covered in the characters and voice cast guide.

Medusa: the Returning Serpent

Medusa needs little introduction to series players: a monster with the body of a giant serpent, voiced by Melique Berger. Konami's own homepage groups her with Death and Carmilla as legendary returning bosses, so longtime fans should expect the petrifying gaze to matter mechanically, though no status-effect details have been published for this game.

One honest caveat from the demo files: an official screenshot used on this site's walkthrough shows Rose facing Medusa, and she does not appear anywhere in the demo build. Do not go looking for her in the sewers. Her Arcana effect, arena and placement in the boss order are all unconfirmed until launch.

Isaac: the Devil Forgemaster

Isaac creates and commands demons, and Konami gives him the most story-loaded one-liner on the page: a history with Trevor Belmont dating back 20 years. He is voiced by Liam O'Brien. A forgemaster who commands demon armies strongly suggests a fight with summoned adds, but that is expectation, not confirmation. Konami has published no move set, and no preview coverage describes his arena.

What is confirmed is structural: like every boss, Isaac will be sealed into the tarot deck on defeat. How the Arcana system turns a summoner into a card, and what Works of Mercy tasks his card would demand, is guesswork until the full game is playable.

Carmilla: the Castle's Renowned Vampire

Carmilla is the only full-game boss with a confirmed location: she awaits Rose inside Dracula's Castle. Konami dresses the description up, terrifying and beautiful in a bloodstained dress, and Dawn M. Bennett voices her. A named vampire waiting in the castle reads as a late-game gate, but placement is unconfirmed, so read that as atmosphere rather than fact.

Series players will recognize her as a recurring vampire antagonist, and Konami's homepage names her among the legendary returning bosses. Her Arcana effect and whether the bloodstained-dress framing hints at a blood mechanic are unpublished. Weapon matchups for the castle stretch, once it is playable, will belong with the weapons and relics guide.

Death: Dracula's Right Hand

Death closes the confirmed list with the heaviest title: Dracula's right-hand man, the Grim Reaper, voiced by Aaron LaPlante. His scythe, Konami writes, can slice through space itself, which hints at teleport or screen-crossing attacks without confirming any of them. Series tradition puts Death near the end of nearly every entry, but this game's order is unpublished, so do not mark him as the final boss on tradition alone.

Note what Konami did not do: Count Dracula is listed under main characters, not bosses. Whether Dracula is fought at all is unconfirmed, and the page's "And more…" leaves room for unannounced fights on either side of him.

What Every Boss Hands You: the Arcana System

The one system confirmed across the whole roster is what defeat means. Konami's homepage states it plainly: once defeated, bosses are sealed into Rose's tarot deck as Arcana. Each card carries its own spell, skill and special action, plus up to three Works of Mercy, small tasks such as landing a set number of hits with the card's spell. Finishing a task unlocks a Blessing that changes the spell, then a Gift once assigned. The Arcana system guide covers all four layers.

Only one card effect is verified by play: The Fallen's Holy Cross Arcana, a projectile matching the attack it used against you. The other five bosses all show tarot-framed portraits, which strongly implies five more cards, but their spells, skills and tasks are unconfirmed. The demo guide confirms the demo build where the first card is earned, and the hands-on report below describes the deck merger in the developers' own words.

What Is Still Unconfirmed

Six names are confirmed; nearly everything else about the boss roster is not. Keep this list next to the table above and you will not be misled by speculation dressed as fact.

  • Fight order. No sequence has been published. Carmilla's castle location and Death's series tradition suggest late placement, but neither is confirmation.
  • Move sets and phases. Only The Fallen has observed attacks. Player guides mention a possible later-stage drop attack for The Fallen itself, which remains unverified.
  • The "And more…". Konami's page explicitly leaves the roster open. Whether that means one hidden fight or several, and whether Dracula is among them, is unannounced.
  • Total Arcana count. Six bosses imply at least six cards, but Konami has not given a deck size.
  • Difficulty settings. Players report adjustable sliders in a Custom Mode, but Konami has made no difficulty announcement. The controls and difficulty page tracks what is confirmed.

FAQ

How many bosses are confirmed in Belmont's Curse? Six: The Fallen, Joan of Arc, Medusa, Isaac, Carmilla and Death, all named on Konami's official character page. The page ends with "And more…", so additional unannounced bosses are possible.

Which bosses are in the demo? Only The Fallen. Joan of Arc, Medusa, Carmilla, Isaac and Death do not appear in the demo build; an official Medusa screenshot exists, but she is a full-game fight.

What do you get for beating The Fallen? The Arcana Whip traversal tool, the Holy Cross Arcana card, and one of three keys for a sealed door. The whip matters most, since most of the demo's optional routes sit behind it, including the hidden Cestus detailed in Rock Paper Shotgun's Cestus route.

Is Dracula a boss in Belmont's Curse? Unconfirmed. Konami lists Dracula under main characters rather than bosses, and no fight with him has been announced. Do not count him in the roster until the full game says otherwise.

Do defeated bosses really become usable cards? Yes, that much is official: defeated bosses are sealed into Rose's tarot deck as Arcana, each with a spell, a skill, a special action and progression tasks. Only The Fallen's card effect is verified by play so far.
